Paddle, Pedal, Picnic Rescheduled for June 29th

Paddle, Pedal, PicnicThat’s right, we have rescheduled  for June 29th. Join us for our annual Paddle, Pedal & Picnic. Starting at 10 am we will all gather at the Canterbury Town Hall (1 Municipal Drive, Canterbury CT) with our bikes and helmets, canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets. Together, our paddlers and cyclists will embark on separate journeys through Canterbury. Nice Country. Cyclists will enjoy the scenic, serpentine back roads of Canterbury and ride by some of our many historic homes.  Paddlers will launch their boats from Manship Park and wind their way down the Quinebaug River to Butts Bridge. Last spring, paddlers spotted two blue herons, several ducks, and an eagle (in addition to all of the fish). After the paddle and pedal portions of the day come to a close, we will reassemble at the town hall for a picnic and fair.

We have FREE T-Shirts for the first people to register for the Paddle, Pedal & Picnic. Supply is limited, so register here. Get out and embrace Canterbury. Nice Country.

We decided to reschedule because of two preexisting events on June 8th: Paddle for a Cure and Marlborough’s Cyclist Event. We encourage you to attend our Paddle, Pedal, Picnic on June 29th at 10 AM and to support either of those events on June 8th.
