The Prudence Crandall Museum invites adults and children (ages 6 and up) to a Introduction to Stenciling Workshop!

Learn how stenciling would have been used in households during the 18th and 19th centuries, while also learning the basics of stenciling! Participants will make a stenciled placemat to take home.

Cost: $7.00 which includes supplies and Museum Admission. (Pre-registration is required as space is limited.) For additional information: 860-546-7800.

The Prudence Crandall Museum, a National Historic Landmark, is located at 1 South Canterbury Road, Canterbury, Ct. The Museum is site of New England’s first Academy for African-American young women, established by Prudence Crandall, 1833-1834, and is administered by the State of Connecticut, Dept. of Economic and Community Development.
